Stacy E. Albin-Leone, Esq.
Stacy Albin-Leone is an experienced litigator, negotiator, planner, and counsellor of law. She has extensive experience as lead trial counsel, having conducted hearings, depositions, and trials. Ms. Albin-Leone is also an experienced appellate attorney who has argued before the Appellate Division Second Department and the Appellate Term Second Department. Additionally, she is experienced with planning.
Ms. Albin-Leone graduated from State University of New York at Binghamton in 1990, with a degree in English.
Ms. Albin-Leone worked as a journalist for many renowned newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Newsday, TimeOut New York, and the Village Voice. She worked on an investigative reporting team, features and on breaking news.
In 2007, she graduated from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center summa cum laude. She served as a writer for Touro’s Law Review and a founding officer of the Labor Law Society. She was on the school’s Dean’s List many times.
During law school, she worked as a law clerk at two Long Island firms, gathering experience with business law, including publicly-traded corporations, matrimonial, bankruptcy, guardianship, trust and estates, and general litigation.
After graduating, Ms. Albin-Leone served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office from 2007 until 2011. She conducted countless suppression hearings and tried many criminal cases, including conspiracy to hire, driving while intoxicated offenses, assaults and reckless driving charges. She routinely investigated cases, including counterclaims of police misconduct, and the location of missing witnesses.
In 2011, she commenced private practice, which has covered various areas, including criminal defense, personal injury, trust and estates, elder law, matrimonial, landlord tenant and real estate. In addition to litigation, she handled appeals on murder convictions, rape convictions and larceny convictions.
Ms. Albin-Leone is a New York native and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
